Web Master’s Report

  If you are a frequent visitor to the web site, you undoubtedly noticed that you were unable to log on for a couple of weeks. There was a glitch at the ‘server’ (geek speak for the folks that manage the distribution of the site throughout the web). Trust me when I say that I did not take this event lightly. To insure that it wasn’t on my end, I completely rewrote the site from files I had on hand and attempted numerous times to publish. I put in about 60 man hours during the time the site was down, including less than flattering conversations with the server host. Let’s just say I don’t expect any Christmas cards from them this year. 

  The good news is that we are up and running again! 

  I am still in the process of updating the new information and deleting that which is no longer applicable or expired while the site was on its’ mini vacation. I was recently promoted to a management position at work, so between the additional time that consumes, the Treasurer’s position and a home life, I am working on getting the site back up to 100% in my precious little spare time. I ask your patience during this rebuilding period.
