Curtis  "Corky"  Young

   Corky Young began his 30+ year EMS career, while still in High School, as an American Red Cross CPR Instructor's Assistant and then eventually as an Instructor.

   While assisting at a mass CPR class, for a local high school, Corky met a Bill Roberts, a City of Springfield (Ohio) Firefighter/Paramedic, who, at that time, was a Firefighter/EMS/Defensive Driving/Special Rescue Instructor for the Springfield-Clark County JVS. When he became the Public Safety Services Training Program Director, Corky was asked to assist  with the CPR segments of his classes.  Before he was old enough to sit for his first EMT examination, Corky had already assisted in over 6 EMT-Basic training classes and countless medium and large scale disaster drills as an 'unofficial' evaluator. Impressed with Corky's abilities and eagerness to help, he was asked to be a  practical evolutions proctor. By now, his destiny had been set.

   So impressed with Corky's personal ethics that he was asked to become the Godfather for Bill's newborn son Shawn Michael Roberts.

   From these early beginnings, he went on to further his education and hone his skills as;
