First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family of Dave Stahley and all those who lives he touched over his many years as a member of OAEMS. Dave will forever be missed!!!!

I want to extend a BIG “THANK YOU” and “WAY TO GO” to the presenters at the Annual Travel and Learn in Vegas in November 2007. Joanie Reiser and Brian Rogers did a spectacular job in presenting some very interesting topics. Also, than you to Pat, Bill and Five Star Vacations for all their hard work in this very fun adventure. Vegas is a BLAST!!!!! Remember the Nov 8-15, 2008 cruise to Cozumel, Grand Caymans and Ocho Rios, Jamaica is open to those who wish to travel and learn or just get away from the snow.

The EMS –C committee did not met this month due to schedule conflicts but we continue to pursue our goal of offering a Pediatric Medical designation for those hospitals in Ohio that wish to deemed pediatric proficient. Please see this report for some valuable information on what EMS-C has to offer.

There is a new program available thru the Prevent Child Abuse Ohio Program, called HUGS (HELP US GROW SAFELY. The HUGS (Help Us Grow Safely) program, provided by PCAO, is a community based training program that teaches strategies for preventing negative adult/child interactions. Remember the Spring conference is April 4-6 in Mansfield. And the Summer conference is in Columbus at the Holiday Inn Fort Rapids on June 26, 27, 28, 29, 2008. There are fabulous speakers on the way and the Fort Rapids Water Park is a great spot for kids of all ages !!!!
